Our Story

Born From a Need For Softness

Calmly opened in 2021 in a converted printing hall in Kreuzberg. It started with four mats, one teacher, and a persistent feeling that most wellness spaces had forgotten what quiet actually sounded like.

We've grown carefully. We added rooms only when we found teachers we trusted completely. We kept the maximum class size small. We left one wall in every room unpainted, because the room shouldn't be more polished than the people in it.

How We Think

The Principles Behind the Practice

Not rules. Just the things we kept coming back to as we built this place, one decision at a time.

Small Rooms Real Attention.

No class at Calmly holds more than twenty people. Most hold twelve. The teacher knows your name before the third session.

The Nervous System First

We are not a fitness studio. We are not trying to make you sweat more. We are trying to help the part of you that regulates

No Mirrors No Metrics.

We removed the mirrors on purpose. The practice is internal. What you see in the glass is not what matters herein the glass

Quiet as a Design Choice.

No phones in the rooms. No hype playlists. No . The room earns your attention through stillness, not volume.
learning.

Teachers Who Practice

Every teacher at Calmly attends class as a student too. We will not who has stopped learning. The  does not work that way

Always Slow Growth

We removed the mirrors on purpose. The practice is internal. What you see in the glass is not what matters herein the glass

The Space

Five Rooms in a Former Printing Hall.

The building dates from 1928. We kept the ceiling height, the original concrete, and the smell of old paper that comes through in winter. We added cedar, wool, and very soft lighting.

  • Two yoga and movement studios
  • Sound and meditation room
  • Cedar infrared sauna for two
  • Cold plunge at 4°C year-round
  • Long-chair recovery room with cedar tea
We believe that movement is medicine. Whether you are seeking a dynamic physical practice or a quiet space to simply breathe, our doors are open.
